The Lord is so good! After a “bad” day yesterday, everything is falling in to place today. Jeremy replaced the cylanoid (sp?) and got the RV started again, enough so we can take it to a mechanic. I was able to find a great spot for us to get away in the Wisconsin Dells - a beautiful bed and breakfast place. The lady gave us a great price (actually, she worked with my budget and gave us the best room there!). Also, I got the car registered - so we’re good for a while. Praise the Lord for His goodness to us at all times - and especially when we cry out to Him!

Well, we got the RV back from Michigan City on Tuesday, Sept 27. The cost wasn’t as much as we expected, which was good! However, today (Wed), we couldn’t start it up again! It’s been a “rough” morning for our emotions as the RV wouldn’t start, we realized we have to get the headlights fixed on the car, we can’t find the car title to get it registered, we’re trying to get away for a couple of days, and we’re leaving on Monday! We were crying out to the Lord this morning!
I told Jeremy that maybe God was not wanting us to leave on Monday.
We met with Pastor Bixby for lunch and it was amazing to us to see how God had been working in his heart about it being better to move the departure date to a week later. Obviously, the broken down RV was just further confirmation to him and us! Now the plan is to leave on Monday, Oct 10th. That gives us more time to get the RV fixed, get things organized and together and take the 2 day vacation we’ve been waiting for! After a crazy summer and before we go down to a new ministry, we want to be refreshed and rested!
That’s the latest news!

Today the moving trailer came! For the most part, everything weathered to long trip quite well. We only threw away a lamp and the shredder (of course we haven’t opened any boxes yet and some of them were a little smushed). We had 3 other men helping (Jeremy’s brother Jason, and Jack and Henry Cook) and they were great! In 3 hours everything was off the truck. I’d like to praise the Lord for the piano and our new couch making it safely! Everything’s in a climate controlled 10’ x 15’ storage facility. The managers gave it to us for the price of a 10’ x 10’! Praise the Lord!
It sounds like the problem with the RV is a sensor. Because they need to order that part the RV won’t be ready to go until Tuesday.

Today we left Jeremy’s parents and headed toward Rockford, Illinois – the destination of our “stuff” for the next four months (and where we, eventually, Lord willing, we will be living ☺). We were making good progress (at least I assume we were – I was sleeping) and made our second stop for gas in Michigan City, IN. After filling up, we turned left out of the gas station and promptly stalled in the middle lane! The RV wouldn’t start again! We called a few places trying to get someone to come tow us, but everyone had an excuse why they couldn’t come. Finally a policeman stopped by and asked how things were going and if we had gotten someone to tow us. We told him they said they couldn’t come and he answered “Oh, they’ll come if I call them.” And he was right – the company we had called and who had said no were there in 10 minutes! They towed us to a very helpful mechanic.
Well, to make a long story short, the RV is in Michigan City getting fixed – we took the car off the tow dolly and drove to Rockford since we need to be there to welcome the moving trailer tomorrow morning. We’re praying that they find the problem (seems like an electrical problem plus high oil pressure) and that it won’t be too much.

Just wanted to let you know that the Lord provided an RV for us to use while in LA
